Karachi situation is an issue of every citizen, Nisar

Karachi News, February 13 (ePakistan)- The law and order situation in Karachi was leading towards chaos, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar stated on 13 February.
While talking to media, he said that the current operation against criminals should be conducted in the similar way in which it was held three months earlier.
The interior minister emphasized that it was significant for the federal and provincial governments to work together for dealing with the matter. Moreover, he stated that the situation in Karachi was a national issue.

“It is an issue of every citizen.”, he said.

Karachi: Police mobile attacked, leaving 9 dead, 33 injured

Karachi News, February 13 (ePakistan)- A police mobile is targeted in Karachi in the wee hours of 13 February. The blast took place when a police mobile bus was leaving the gate of Razzaqabad Police Training Centrein Shah Latif Town area. A van full of explosives hit the police mobile, leaving it completely destroyed leading to the deaths of 9 cops with dozens left critically injured.
According to initial reports there were more than 50 police officers in the police van at the time the blast occurred.
The initial reports claim usage of around five kg of explosive materials in the blast. The blast shock wave was so strong that the pieces of the vehicles spread everywhere. The rangers and police officials rushed to the site of the blast and the area was cordoned off for further investigation.
The injured were rushed to Jinnah hospital and nearby local hospitals. As reported by the police officials and hospital staff, the blast was of such high intensity, that the death toll might rise as many police men received severe injuries.

Khan says “Green Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” drive to be started soon


Peshawar News, Feb 09 (NNI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) head Imran Khan said that “Green Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” campaign was being launched in the province.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Khan said that all government-owned rest houses would be commercialized so that their income could be spent for the welfare of people.
He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would soon start work on micro hydel power projects.
We will generate our own electricity in the province, he said.
